After arrival at Rangapara North Junction Railway Station OR Tezpur Airport, meet with our company representative and then drive to Bhalukpong “The Gateway of Arunachal Pradesh” (55/70 km., 2 hr.). The road from Rangapara/Tezpur to Bhalukpong is a scenic one, which follows NH 15 and Balipara - Bhalukpong Road. The road winds through the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You'll also pass through several tea gardens and small villages, which will give you a glimpse into the local way of life. After reach at Bhalukpong check-in at hotel & get fresh. Then go for Bhalukpong sightseeing. Your sightseeing will be start from Bhalukpong Fort, made by bricks, during 10th century by King Bhaluka. After breakfast you will be transferred from Bhalukpong to Dirang (145 km., 6 hr., 5,100 ft.). On the way you will visit Bomdila (100 km. from Bhalukpong, 4 hr.), the headquarter of West Kameng district, known for vibrant Buddhist culture, breathtaking Himalayan vistas and rich history. The road between Bhalukpong and Bomdila follow the Chariduar - Tawang Road and NH 13. The First part of the road is relatively flat, but when you climb higher, the scenery becomes more dramatic. After reach at Bomdila, you will go for Bomdila local sightseeing, first you will visit Craft Centre & Ethnographic Museum, a vibrant tapestry of Arunachal Pradesh's rich cultural heritage. This museum is more than just a collection of exhibits, it's a living window into the lives, traditions and artistry of the diverse tribes that call this region home. After spend some time there, you will visit the Bomdila Monastery, a majestic three-storied structure, also known as Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Lling Monastery. After breakfast go for full day Dirang sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from Thembang Heritage Village, located 20 km. from Dirang, which bears the marks of a glorious past. It’s a timeless jewel waiting to be discovered. Thembang is a place where ancient stones whisper tales of resilience and Monpa traditions thrive in their purest form. Here you can walk through the narrow lanes lined with traditional timber houses, vibrant prayer flags and blooming flowers. After explore this beautiful village, you will visit Dirang Dzong, a historic fort, now a museum, which showcases artifacts and exhibits portray the Monpa way of life and the region's rich history. Dating back to the 17th Century, Dirang Dzong was originally built as a defensive fortress to protect the Bomdila region from neighboring kingdoms. Here you can explore the traditional architecture, weaponry and fascinating stories of the past. Then you will visit Khastung Gompa, to learn about the rich Buddhist cultural heritage. After that you will be headed towards Mandala Top, located 35 km. from Dirang, a spiritual haven adorned with 108 Buddhist Stupas, lies atop a mountain. After breakfast you will be transferred from Dirang to Tawang (145 km., 6 hr., 8,800 ft.). The road between Dirang and Tawang isn't just a path that connects two towns, it's a breathtaking journey through the soul of the Eastern Himalayas. It's a journey where every bend unveils a new spectacle. You will go through emerald valleys, shoulders of snow-capped mountains and cascading waterfalls. On the way you will see famous Sela Pass and Sela Lake (65 km. from Dirang, 2 hr.). Nestled at an altitude of 13,700 ft., Sela Pass is a portal to a different world. As you ascend, the landscape morphs into a wonderland of snow-capped peaks, emerald valleys and rugged terrain. Sela Lake is located on the northern side of the pass, it’s a turquoise jewel amidst the rugged landscape. The lake becomes frozen during winter and reflects the snow-capped peaks like a mirror in summer. You can walk along its banks and breathe in the crisp mountain air. After spend some time at Sela Pass, you will be headed towards Tawang. On the way you will see Jaswant Garh War Memorial, which commemorates the heroism of Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, an Indian soldier who stood his ground against overwhelming odds during the Sino-Indian War of 1962, largely outnumbered by enemy, but he and his two comrades defended their outpost with unwavering courage, inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy before succumbing to their wounds. Then you will see Nuranang Falls also known as Jung Falls, a majestic milky white water falls plunging 100 meters down from the verdant valley. It is one of India’s most stunning waterfalls. As you approach towards the falls, the roar of the cascading water announces its presence long before you get your first glimpse of the falls. Then finally you will reach at Tawang. After breakfast you will go for full day Tawang local sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from Chagzam Bridge, means "Iron Bridge" in Tibetan, estimated to be over 600 years old. It is one of the oldest iron suspension bridges in Asia, built by Thangtong Gyalpo, a disciple of the first Dalai Lama and renowned architect, the bridge stands as a testament to ancient engineering prowess. Than you will visit Dorjee Khandu Memorial & Museum, a museum commemorating a political figure, called Dorjee Khandu, a former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, it’s a testament to the spirit of a man who dedicated his life to his people. After exploring the museum you will be headed towards Tawang War Memorial, a tribute to the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Here at this 40 ft. high Buddhist Stupa, Tibetan prayer flags flutters in the wind create a sense of serenity, while colorful dragons and serpents add a touch of cultural heritage. Inside the Stupa lies a museum that narrates the tale of the war through photographs, documents and personal belongings of the soldiers. After visiting the war memorial, you will go to Khinmey-nyingma Monastery, founded in 1440 by Rev. Kundun Sange Yeshe, it is the oldest in Tawang and the second oldest Nyingma monastery in India. This monastery is a silent sentinel of ancient wisdom and Monpa tradition. Its name, meaning "place for listening to the sound of barking dogs". After explore the monastery, you will visit Tawang Monastery, founded in 1681 by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso, it is the largest Buddhist monastery in India and the second largest in Asia after Lhasa's Potala Palace. Located at an altitude of 10,000 ft., Tawang Monastery commands breathtaking views of the Tawang Chu valley, with snow-capped mountains and dense coniferous forests. This monastery is more than just a architectural marvel, it's a thriving center of learning and spirituality. After explore this masterpiece, you will visit Urgelling Gompa, the birthplace of Tenzin Gyatso, the sixth Dalai Lama, born in 1683. Legend has it that he planted his walking stick at the monastery gate, which miraculously grew into a giant oak tree, which is still standing today. After that you will be headed to Brama-dung-chung Ani Gompa, a sanctuary of serenity dedicated to female Buddhist practitioners. Founded in 1595, it's the oldest Ani Gompa (nunnery) in Tawang. It’s more than just a nunnery, it's a beacon of female empowerment. You next point will be Gyangong Ani Gompa, a charming nunnery, perched atop a hillock overlooking the Tawang Valley, founded in the 17th century by Merak Lama Lodre Gytso, the brother of the founder of the famed Tawang Monastery. You have to walk a scenic 1.5 km trail to reach at the Gompa. After completing the sightseeing you will be back to the hotel at Tawang. In the evening you can visit Tibetan Settlement Market, a bustling marketplace for shopping lovers. When you walk through the narrow lanes of the market, your eyes will met with a dazzling array of treasures. After breakfast you will go for full day excursion to Bumla Pass and Sungester Tso. On the you will see PT Tso Lake, full name Pankang Teng Tso, translates to "Bird's Lake" in Monpa language, located at an altitude of 13,500 ft., a high-altitude wonder. Its pristine waters mirrors the snow-capped peaks that surround it, creates a landscape of breathtaking beauty. The lake is not just a scenic marvel, it also holds deep spiritual significance for the Monpa people. It is said that wishes whispered on the shores of the lake have the power to come true. Then you will see Bumla Pass, located at a distance of 35 km. from Tawang, at a staggering 15,200 ft. altitude, on the border of Indo-Tibet. Before visit the pass, prepare to have your breath stolen as you ascend. Here snow-capped peaks stab the sky, glaciers shines like fallen stars and the rugged Tibetan Plateau stretches across the horizon. After visiting Bumla Pass, you will go to Gurudwara Sahib Teesri Udassi, located at an altitude of 13,000 ft., stands as a testament to the spiritual journey of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism. The name "Teesri Udassi" translates to "Third Missionary Journey". Legend has it that during his third Udasi, Guru Nanak reached this remote spot and meditated in a cave here. After spend some time at this spiritual places, you will be headed to Sungestar Tso, also known as Madhuri Lake. Sungestar Tso means "Lake of a Hundred Stars", in local language. This stunning high-altitude lake, shimmering like a turquoise jewel cradled by snow-capped peaks, offers a breathtaking escape from the ordinary and a chance to immerse yourself in the raw beauty and cultural tapestry of the region. Here you can take a walk along the banks and soak the stunning panorama of snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys. Then you will go to Taktsang Gompa, located on a cliff face, at an altitude of 13,000 ft. above sea level. This Tibetan Buddhist monastery is a mesmerizing blend of spiritual energy and architectural wonder. Legends whisper tales of Guru Padmasambhava, the revered Buddhist master, meditated in a cave here in the 8th century. This Gompa is more than just a pilgrimage site. It's a gateway to breathtaking landscapes. If you climb to the monastery, than you will get a stunning views of the Tawang Valley. Additional Sightseeing : If you have an extra day at Tawang than you can visit Guru Padmasambhaba Statue, Buddha Statue (Thongba Gumpa), Gorsam Chorten, BTK Waterfall, Chumi Gyatse and Dolma Lhakang Lumla.
After breakfast you will be transferred from Tawang to Bomdila via Dirang, which will take approximately 7 hours. (185 km., 8,000 ft.). After reach at Bomdila, check-in at your hotel and get fresh. In the evening you can visit local market for some shopping or to taste some delicious local cuisine. Night stay at Bomdila in a hotel.
After breakfast drop at Rangapara North Junction Railway Station OR Tezpur Airport (145/155 km., 5 hr.). Important note : If you want to visit the Bumla Pass than you have to stay minimum 3 days at Tawang. Because the permit for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained in a same day and guest have to stay at the same place.
