After arrival at NJP/IXB/Siliguri, meet with our company representative and then drive to Lataguri (70 km., 3 hr.). On the you will see the Gajoldoba Barrage, which tames the mighty Teesta river's flow. Here you can take a boat ride on its calm waters, cast your eyes on the verdant forests lining its shores or witness the power of the river if you are visiting during monsoon season. After 3 hr. of scenic drive you will reach at Lataguri, the gateway of Gorumara National Park. After arrival at Lataguri check-in at hotel & get fresh. After an early lunch go for your first wildlife encounter with an exhilarating Jeep safari in Gorumara National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive rhinoceros, majestic Asian elephants, spotted deer, barking deer and a plethora of birdlife. After the Jeep safari you will gather around a bonfire and indulge in tribal dance performances. After that you can visit local market, where you will find an array of handicrafts and delicious local cuisine. Night stay at Lataguri in a hotel.
If you are a wildlife enthusiast than you can go for an early morning Jeep safari in Gorumara National Park, in a hope to catch a glimpse of your favorite wildlife one last time. Then you will be back to the hotel. After breakfast you will go for full day sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from Chapramari wildlife sanctuary, renowned for its resident herds of Asian elephants, gentle giants that roam the forests with majestic grace. Beyond the elephants, Chapramari shelters a vibrant tapestry of biodiversity. Chapramari’s dense Sal forest creates a cathedral of towering trees, their branches intertwined like intricate tapestries. After spend some time there you will visit Murti river, which offers a picturesque escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Here the emerald forest reflects in the glassy surface of the river. After that you will be headed to Jaldhaka view point, located on the Khunia-Jhalong road, this point offers stunning views of the Jaldhaka River winding through the dense forests below. On a clear day you will get a glimpse of the Bhutanese hills also. Then you will go to Jhalong, sit on the very edge of India, where Dooars meets the majestic mountains of Bhutan. The atmosphere here is a blend of Indian warmth and Bhutanese mystique. After completing the sightseeing, you will be back to the hotel. After lunch you can visit local market. Additional Sightseeing : If you have an extra day at Lataguri than you can visit Samsing, Rocky Island and Suntalekhola, located about 40 km. from Lataguri, a trio in the Dooars region, each are unique in its own charm.
After breakfast transfer from Lataguri to Jaldapara (100 km., 4 hr.), the crown jewel of the Dooars region, renowned for its diverse wildlife, with the majestic one-horned rhinoceros taking center stage, the undisputed king of this verdant realm. After arrival at Jaldapara check-in at hotel & get fresh. After lunch go for a wildlife encounter with a thrilling Jeep safari in Jaldapara National Park, in a hope to get a glimpse of a gentle giants as they graze in the grasslands. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears tuned for the symphony of the jungle. During the Jeep safari you can spot Deer and Sambar grazing in the grasslands, hear the barking calls of deer echoing through the forest and witness the majestic Gaur, the largest wild cattle in the world. After the Jeep safari you can visit the local market, where you will find an array of handicrafts and delicious local cuisine. Night stay at Jaldapara in a hotel.
Early morning go for an Elephant ride through the verdant undergrowth of Jaldapara National Park, to catch a glimpse of your favorite wildlife from close range. Then you will be back to the hotel. After breakfast you will go for full day sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from South Khayerbari Animal Rehabilitation Centre. While the park's former residents, a pair of majestic tigers, might steal the spotlight, but it offers much more than a glimpse of these enigmatic creatures, where you can learn about the conservation efforts for rescued wildlife. After spend some time there you will visit the Totopara tribal village to immense yourself in the vibrant culture of the Dooars and to meet the friendly Toto tribe to learn about their unique customs, traditions and shop for handcrafted souvenirs. Totopara is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with nature and with the simple joys of life. After spend some time there, you will be headed to Chilapata forest, stretch along the banks of the Torsha river, a heaven for adventure seekers and nature lovers. Its dense Sal forests whispers ancient secrets and its grassy plains echo with the trumpeting calls of Asian elephants. Here you can take a boat ride on the tranquil waters of the Bania River, to cast your eyes on the lush riverine forests teeming with avian life. After completing the sightseeing, you will be back to the hotel. After lunch you can visit local market. Night stay at Jaldapara in a hotel.
