You will start your journey from Shillong, which nestled amidst verdant valleys. Here you can explore the vibrant capital city of Meghalaya, which offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Visit the vibrant Police Bazaar, where you can find traditional Khasi handicrafts, textiles and spices.
Then you will be headed towards Mawlynnong, renowned as the “cleanest village in Asia”. Here immerse yourself in the village’s pristine environment, where the streets are spotless, houses are adorned with vibrant flowers and the air is fresh and invigorating. You can visit the Living Root Bridge, a natural wonder made with the roots of banyan trees. You must visit the nearby Dawki River, known for its crystal-clear waters and mesmerizing boat rides.
Then you will travel to Cherrapunjee, which attracts the traveler with its captivating waterfalls, mesmerizing caves and the title of “wettest place on Earth”. Here you can witness the awe-inspiring Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfall in India, plunging down a dizzying height. You can explore the mesmerizing Mawsmai Cave, where you can marvel at the intricate limestone formations and experience the unique underground ecosystem.

After arrival at GHY/GAU/Guwahati, meet with our company representative and then drive to Shillong (110 km., 4 hr., 5,000 ft.). It's a scenic drive with views of the lush green hills. After start your journey from Guwahati, 3 hr. later you will reach at the pristine Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani (Big Water), a breathtaking gem in the crown of Meghalaya. This man-made marvel, born from the damming of the Umiam River in the 1960s. The pristine surface of the lake, reflects the azure sky and the verdant hues of the surrounding forests, creates a scene of breathtaking serenity. For those seeking tranquility, the shores of the Lake offers a haven of peace. After spend some quality time there, you will drive another 1 hr. to reach at Shillong city. After arrival at Shillong check-in at hotel & get fresh. After lunch visit Police Bazaar, city's vibrant shopping hub, for some shopping or to taste some delicious local cuisine. After breakfast go for full day Shillong local sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from Wards’ Lake, a calm, emerald-green lake encircled by lush gardens busting with colorful blooms. A charming wooden bridge located at center of the lake makes the lake more attractive. Here you can enjoy a boat ride. After that you will visit Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, stands as a beacon of faith and architectural splendor. Built in 1936, this majestic cathedral is not just a place of worship but also a testament to the vibrant culture of the region. After spend some time there you will visit Lady Hydari Park, named after the wife of a former governor, a sprawling green space with manicured gardens, a water body and a mini zoo. Then you will be headed to the Shillong view point (Laitkor Peak) and Shillong Peak, two beautiful view point surrounded by lush greenery, and located close to each other. Shillong View Point, located atop Laitkor Peak, which offers the panoramic vistas of the city and surrounding valleys. Shillong Peak, rises majestically at 6,450 ft. above sea level, known for breathtaking panoramas. On a clear day, you can spot the glistening Umiam Lake from here. It's a place to reconnect with nature. Then you will visit Elephant Falls, nestled amidst the lush green hills of Meghalaya, a three-tiered masterpiece carved by nature, where crystal-clear waters tumble down rocky cliffs, creates a misty spectacle. The first tier of the falls is easily accessible, invites you to stand close enough to feel the spray on your face. Then the second tier reveals itself, cascading down a steeper incline. Then the crown jewel third tier, a majestic plunge pool where the water crashes into a deep, emerald-green lagoon. Surrounded by moss-covered rocks and ferns. This hidden haven is a picture of tranquility, perfect for a quiet contemplation. Next you will be headed to Air Force Museum, a testament to Indian airpower and the sacrifices made to protect the nation's skies. Here you will see models of missiles and aircraft, actual machines and learn about the Indian Air Force Eastern Command’s history. Then you will visit Don Bosco Museum, a treasure trove of artifacts, handicrafts and historical exhibits. Here you can learn about the rich culture and heritage of Northeast India. After completing the Shillong local sightseeing, you will be back to the hotel at Shillong. After lunch you can visit Police Bazaar. Night stay at Shillong in a hotel.
After breakfast transfer from Shillong to Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village (120 km., 6 hr., 1,600 ft.). On the way you will visit Dawki (85 km. from Shillong, 4 hr.), located in West Jaintia Hills (Indo-Bangladesh Border), known for it’s crystal-clear water that reflects the lush green hills like a mirror. It’s a blend of nature's beauty, cultural charm and adventure. Here you can take a boat ride to feel like you're floating through an underwater wonderland. After spend some quality time there, you will be headed towards Mawlynnong (35 km. from Dawki, 2 hr.). Mawlynnong village is located in East Khasi Hills, offers a eco-conscious living. As you enter Mawlynnong, you'll be greeted by meticulously clean streets adorned with vibrant flower baskets and charming bamboo houses. Here you will see bamboo dustbin dot every corner, meticulously maintained by the community. After reach at Mawlynnong check-in and get fresh, then go for Mawlynnong sightseeing. You will start your sightseeing from "Living Root Bridge", Mawlynnong's most captivating sights, a marvel of nature woven from interlaced tree roots. Here you can witness how tree roots have been intertwined over centuries to form sturdy bridges, allowing villagers to cross over streams and gorges. Also explore the quaint village to learn about Khasi traditions and their eco-friendly lifestyle. Then you will be headed to the Balancing Rock, a natural wonder defying gravity. After breakfast you will be transferred from Mawlynnong to Cherrapunjee (90 km., 5 hr., 4,700 ft.). On the way you will complete your Cherrapunjee sightseeing. You will start from the Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, a picturesque viewpoint, located 30 km. from Cherrapunjee. It offers panoramic views of the lush Mawkdok Dympep Valley, which makes it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers. After spend some time here, you will be headed to Wah-Kaba Falls, a majestic waterfall, plunges approx. 180 mtr. into a gorge, creates a breathtaking spectacle. The falls looks mesmerizing during the monsoon season, when the water flow is at its peak. Your next sightseeing point will be Arwah Cave, a limestone cave where the entrance itself hints at the wonders within. When you go deeper, your torch beams dance across walls adorned with fossilized whispers of the past. After spend some unforgettable time here, you will visit Nohkalikai Falls, a behemoth of nature that plunges a staggering 1,115 ft. It's a place woven with the threads of a poignant legend. The name itself translates to "The Leap of Ka Likai", a young woman who, heartbroken by the loss of her daughter, took her own life by leaping from the very cliff where the falls now roar. At certain angles, the sunlight paints rainbow across the backdrop of this colossal spectacle. After spend some time here, you will be headed to Mawsmai Nongthymmai Eco Park, a haven for nature enthusiasts and peace seekers. Here lush, rolling hills carpeted with emerald grasslands, orchid blooms and the gentle murmur of waterfalls welcome you with an open arm. After visiting this eco park, you will see Seven Sisters Falls, where not one, but seven waterfalls cascading down a rugged cliff face. While the falls are a sight to behold throughout the year, but they truly come alive during the monsoon season. You next point will be Mawsmai Cave, a natural and ancient wonder. The gaping entrance of the cave is carved by millions of years of water erosion, which signal you into a complex limestone walls and shimmering calcite formations. It's a journey through time and a whisper of Earth's ancient secrets. After explore this natural wonder, you will visit Kynrem Falls, a three-tiered masterpiece, which changes its character with the seasons. During the monsoons, it transforms into a raging torrent, but in the dry season, its rock pools is perfect for a sun-drenched picnic. After completing the sightseeing you will be dropped at your hotel in Cherrapunjee. In the evening you can explore the market to collect some handicraft or taste some local cuisine. Night stay at Cherrapunjee in a hotel. Additional Sightseeing : If you have an extra day at Cherrapunjee than you can go for Nongriat Trek to see Double Decker Living Root Bridge. The trek starts from Tyrna village, located 15 km. (1 hr.) from Cherrapunjee. After reach at the Tyrna village by car, you have to descend 3,500 steps (2 hr.) to reach at the root bridge located at Nongriat village. After complete the trek, you have to ascent the 3,500 steps again, for getting back to your hotel at Cherrapunjee. You can add Rainbow Falls on your itinerary, which will take 2 hr. to reach from Nongriat village. If you are interested to explore waterfalls, than you can visit Wei Sawdong Falls, located 15 km from Cherrapunjee. The falls unfold in three distinct tiers, each cascading into a turquoise pool surrounded by verdant cliffs. After reach at the nearest village by car, you have to do a 30 minute trek through the forest, to reach at the Falls.
After breakfast drop at GHY/GAU/Guwahati (160 km., 6 hr.). Additional Sightseeing : If you have an extra day at Shillong than you can visit Laitlum Canyon, located about 30 km from Shillong city. It offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of verdant valleys, rugged cliffs, and wispy clouds that dance on the horizon. If you are interested to know about the rich culture and traditional architecture of the Khasi people, than you can visit Khasi Heritage Village, located 30 km from Shillong city, near the sacred Mawphlang Sacred Grove.
